He Comes From a Creative Family

Pullman was born on January 29 in 1993, to parents Bill Pullman and Tamara Hurwitz. His parents met in college and got married in 1987 and have been together for more than 40 years. He has two older siblings, Maesa and Jack, making him the youngest of three. Artistry runs in the Pullman family's blood as Bill is an actor with an incredible filmography that includes films like While You Were Sleeping (1995) and Independence Day (1996), and Tamara is a modern dancer. His sister is a musician, and his brother is a puppet and mask designer. The 32-year-old actor has learned to value his father's guidance in the entertainment industry, but in a 2023 interview, he revealed that this wasn't always the case. "I quite quickly realized it was incredibly foolish not to utilize this remarkable resource that I had, who happened to be my dad." 

From Newcomer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Pullman is determined to create his own way in the film industry, and while he turns to his father for advice, he's gradually stepping out from his shadow. His acting career began in 2013 in a short film called The Tutor when he was 20 years old. Since then, he's been building his portfolio, and his portrayal of Lieutenant Robert 'Bob' Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) changed everything and saw him star alongside legendary actor Tom Cruise and Miles Teller. A year later, he portrayed Calvin Evans, a reputable scientist, in the Apple TV+ series Lessons in Chemistry and starred opposite fellow Marvel actor Brie Larson.

In 2024, he's fully immersed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and plays another character named Bob in Thunderbolts, starring Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh. He's set to return as Bob, the superhero Sentry, in Avengers: Doomsday, set to release May 2026.
