The journalist had even more good news as he confirmed he will be at the Etihad on Tuesday for the Champions League blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid. Tyldesley posted: “My post was about the excellence of the NHS. I’m absolutely fine and watching the game. “I’ll be at the Etihad next Tuesday. They were just looking for something and found nothing – barely a brain cell!” Tyldesley’s stunning career kicked off in 1975 when he started out at Radio Trent. He then joined the BBC in 1992 and enjoyed a successful four-year stint. That led him to ITV in 1998 where he called some of the biggest matches until 2024.
