At least one Ball brother will make an appearance at All-Star weekend.
Fresh off a chart-topping single and an $8 million record deal with Universal, LiAngelo Ball is set to take his talents to the Bay Area to perform during All-Star Saturday night, ESPN’s Shams Charania announced on Friday.
This will mark the first time Ball performs the song on television.
The former G Leaguer and brother of LaMelo and Lonzo Ball has had a meteoric rise in the music industry after a less-than-successful career in the NBA.
After releasing the hit song ‘Tweaker’ — which peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and is now 48th, as of Friday — Ball has parlayed the virality into internet fame and even an appearance at the Detroit Lions-Washington Commanders Wild Card Weekend game back in January.
His track now has more than 48 million streams on Spotify, and on Friday, he released a remix featuring legendary artist Lil Wayne.
The 26-year-old is now set to return to the hardwood as San Francisco hosts All-Star weekend at Chase Center. He joins a star-studded cast of artists set to spin some tracks during the weekend’s festivities, including Noah Kahan, Zedd, Flo Rida and Toronto rapper NAV.
Despite coming in as the least successful Ball Brother in on-court accomplishments, he’ll be the only one of the trio performing at All-Star weekend, as neither LaMelo nor Lonzo were selected to All-Star teams.
He’s pencilled in to perform on Saturday — the same night as the three-point, slam dunk and skills challenge contests.
