OPPO’s exec confirmed that the Find N5 will become the world’s thinnest smartphone. Well, the OPPO Find N5’s thickness was just revealed, and the device was compared to its predecessor.
The OPPO Find N5 thickness just got compared to its predecessor
The OPPO Find N5 will be only 4.2mm thick when unfolded. This is not yet official info, though, so do note that. The OPPO Find N3, in comparison, was 5.8mm thick when unfolded. You can see the two phones one on top of the other in the image below.
You’ll notice that the OPPO Find N5 is notably thinner than its predecessor. That will translate to the folded form too, of course. Its thickness when folded was not mentioned by the source, though.
The OPPO Find N3 was 11.7mm thick when folded. This handset will be considerably thinner. In fact, it will likely be thinner than the HONOR Magic V3 when folded, which means it will be less than 9.2mm thick.
Several official and unofficial images of the phone already appeared
That will make the OPPO Find N5 feel like a regular smartphone in the hand, that’s for sure. The phone did appear in several images already, including real-life images too.
The OPPO Find N5 will support 50W wireless charging, while it will also get a wired charging boost. On top of that, a telemacro camera is expected to be included, not to mention it will also offer an unexpected water resistance rating.
That smartphone is expected to launch later this month. That much was confirmed by OPPO, but the company still didn’t give us an exact date for the launch event.
The OnePlus Open 2 could borrow the OPPO Find N5 design in its entirety, as the OnePlus Open did last year when it borrowed the OPPO Find N3’s design.
