Racers Edge Motorsports has confirmed its entry in the 2025 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, with drivers Jason Bell and Michael Cooper. They will campaign an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in the Pro-Am class, building on the newly developed partnership between Aston Martin Racing and Racers Edge Motorsports.
Bell has taken championship wins in the SRO America GT4 series in 2021 and ’23, along with a second-place finish in the 2022 Pirelli GT America GT4 championship and 15 race victories.
“I’m excited to announce my move to Racers Edge Motorsports for the 2025 season, where we will be competing in the full GT World Challenge America season in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, adding on the GT America races at the Grand Prix of Long Beach,” said Bell. “My journey with Racers Edge began back in 2017, where I won my first race at VIR with this incredible team. After seven successful years in GT4, including two championships with Aston Martin Racing, it’s time to take the next step and compete in the big show.
Silver-rated Michael Cooper brings extensive experience to Racers Edge Motorsports, winning the LMP3 class at the 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge four-hour 2025 season premiere at Daytona International Speedway.
“I’m really excited to get back into GT World Challenge America with Jason Bell and Racers Edge Motorsports,” said Cooper, whose prior accomplishments in SRO America include a win in GT World Challenge America in 2021 and the SRO America GT4 Pro series championship in 2020, with 11 victories on the season. Cooper also earned the 2017 GT3 Sprint-X Pro/Pro Championship and the 2015 GTS drivers’ championship in Pirelli World Challenge at the start of his racing career.
With Cooper acting as Bell’s coach and occasional co-driver, the two have established a successful working relationship.
“In 2023 when Jason and I ran as a partial season pairing in GT4 America, we were super competitive . Jason made the jump to GT3 last year, got his feet wet, and now we are diving head-first into the big races in SRO America,” Cooper added.
