Of course, there have been good moments too and the Finchley fighter has picked up big wins against Kubrat Pulev and Joe Joyce.  Chisora can be given a strong chance on his performance when outpointing Joyce in July, but more time has ticked by and that was another gruelling contest for the 41-year-old.  Much like Chisora’s moniker of War suggests, many of Del Boy’s previous bouts have been attritional affairs in which he has often come off second best.  The Londoner has taken on Oleksandr Usyk, Joseph Parker twice, Pulev, Tyson Fury, Gerald Washington and Joyce in his last seven bouts.  The contests against Usyk, Parker and Fury ended in defeat and they were all bouts in which Chisora took plenty of punishment.  Of course, War has shown that he is able to dig out a big performance when least expected in the past, but time may have run out for the veteran.  Wallin is not a world beater, but the 34-year-old is a younger and far fresher fighter and that could spell trouble for Chisora. There are two defeats on Wallin’s card, which came against Joshua and Fury, but AJ is the only man to have stopped the Swede.  Chisora doesn’t possess shocking one-punch power and it’s unlikely that War will be able to grind down a younger, durable and useful fighter. Wallin will have noticeable height and size advantages on Saturday night and that should allow him to keep the fight at range.  Chisora will attempt to close the gap and take the fight to the Swede on the inside, but Wallin has the ability and scope to stop War on the way in.  At 6/4, Wallin can be backed to spoil Chisora’s last dance and waltz a decision victory. Wallin can spoil Chisora’s party

Derek Chisora may well call time on a soon-to-be 49-fight career after he takes on Otto Wallin in Manchester on Saturday night.

The contest, billed as the Last Dance, was designed to give War a winning send-off, but it may not play out in such a happy fashion for Chisora.

The 41-year-old is a veteran of 48 fights and 13 of those have been defeats.
