The Weeknd adds new shows to stadium tour, shares ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ film trailer
Playboi Carti and Mike Dean join him for most shows.
The Weeknd announced a stadium tour on Friday, the same day he released his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow, and now that presales have begun, he’s added new shows in NYC (June 5 and 6 at MetLife Stadium), Chicago (May 30 and 31 at Soldier Field), Inglewood (June 25, 26, and 28 at SoFi Stadium), and Toronto (July 27, 28, and August 7 at Rogers Centre). Most shows are with Playboi Carti and Mike Dean, both of whom appear on the new album, and tickets are on artist presale now. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 7 at 10 AM local.
The Weeknd did a surprise Grammy performance on Sunday, ending his boycott of the awards show, and he also recently shared the trailer for the Hurry Up Tomorrow film, which he stars in along with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. The film, which was directed by Trey Edward Shults, arrives in theaters on May 16 via Lionsgate, and you can watch the trailer below.
