Fran Healy of Travis has shared an update with fans after an accident on stage.
The incident took place as the Scottish band began their tour of the US, taking to the stage at the Showbox venue in Seattle, Washington. However, as the members began leaving the stage after the set, the frontman twisted his ankle while saying goodbye to the audience.
Now, he has taken to social media to explain what happened, and recall how the accident led to him being escorted out of the venue on a gurney, before being taken to the hospital.
“If anyone saw me being wheeled out of the venue last night on a gurney and being put into an ambulance it’s because I seriously twisted my ankle stepping off stage,” he explained in the clip. “As I was waving goodbye to everyone, it sort of twisted around back to front.”
He continued: “We thought it was broken, went to hospital, thankfully it’s just a really gnarly sprain.”
Healy also made a quip while confirming that all remaining shows will go ahead as planned, telling fans that he had been given “one of those massive space shoes” to wear at the upcoming gigs.
