Aston Martin confirms launch date for 2025 challenger

Aston Martin F1 has confirmed that it will pull the covers off its 2025 challenger, the AMR25, on Sunday February 23.

Like its rivals, the Silverstone-based outfit will unveil its 2025 livery on Tuesday 18 February at Formula 1’s F1 75 collective presentation that will take place at London’s The O2 arena.

Aston will take advantage of one of its filming days to shake down its new contender in Bahrain, the day after its unveiling, on Monday 24 February, with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll sharing driving duties.

New Leadership and Design Expertise

Aston Martin enters the 2025 season with renewed hope and a potent combination of fresh leadership and design expertise.

The recent management restructuring, spearheaded by the arrival of former Mercedes engine chief Andy Cowell, signals a serious push for performance.

Adding to the excitement is the highly anticipated arrival of legendary F1 designer Adrian Newey in early March.

Newey will have limited direct input in developing the team’s 2025 car. However, the Briton will undoubtedly influence Aston Martin’s future trajectory, making the team one to watch in the coming season and beyond.

The driver pairing of the ever-determined Fernando Alonso and the developing Lance Stroll provides a blend of experience and potential, giving Aston Martin a solid foundation to build upon as they strive for greater heights.

Championship Aspirations

After finishing fifth in F1's Constructors’ standings for two consecutive seasons, Aston Martin has been clear about its ambitions to move from midfield contenders to championship challengers

The team has therefore doubled down on its commitment to becoming a front-runner, particularly with the upcoming regulation changes in 2026.

"Building a World Championship-winning team is our North Star," Cowell stated last month. "Everything we discuss relates to what is needed to make this vision a reality."

With a revamped leadership structure, state-of-the-art facilities, and a clear focus on performance, the team is positioning itself as a serious contender in Formula 1’s next chapter.
