The Bucks will be down another starter on Wednesday.
After dealing away Khris Middleton earlier in the day, Milwaukee announced that superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t be available for their road tilt against the Charlotte Hornets due to left calf tightness.
The eight-time All-Star was slated to start the contest but was pulled minutes before tip-off due to the ailment.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, is still playing at an incredibly high level this year. Through 41 games the 30-year-old is averaging 31.8 points per game, 12.2 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.3 blocks. He’s second in the NBA for points-per-game and sixth for rebounds.
The Bucks’s chances of snapping their four-game skid get much harder without Antetokounmpo and Middleton, but luckily they take on a Hornets team that has lost five in a row.
Middleton was traded to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, ending his tenure in Milwaukee after 12 seasons.
