Littler’s meteoric rise since reaching the World Championship final in 2024 as a relatively unknown player has helped transform the sport. And unsurprisingly, the teenage star is the bookies pick to scoop back-to-back Premier League titles. But for the voice of darts Russ Bray, another star has what it takes to see off the seven other competitors, including the 17-year-old sensation. Asked who might emerge as a surprise package, Bray told talkSPORT: “Anyone of the eight can do damage, but I’ll say Stephen Bunting. He’s hit a lot of form at the minute and I’ll tell you, he’s a very likeable character. “You want excitement week in week out and I think the eight boys that they’ve picked for this particular Premier League is probably about the best that we’ve ever had.” Bunting will be eyeing revenge on Littler after the pair went head-to-head in the World Championship semi-final.
