Fans are speculating that God of War is headed to Egypt after an insider unearthed a Sony Interactive Entertainment casting call. The casting in question is allegedly for an unannounced AAA game, with the company specifically seeking Middle Eastern actors for the roles.

God of War fans have been requesting an Egypt setting for a while

This isn’t the first time an Egyptian setting for Santa Monica Studio’s tentpole franchise has been rumored. However, past rumors have purely been based on fan speculations and wishes. This time, the rumors stem from a discovery made by insider Daniel Richtman (via The Game Post).

Richtman, who is known for unearthing casting calls, claimed in a paid Patreon post that Sony is looking for Middle Eastern actors for a AAA game.
