Kristy Edgar expands her “Cute Little Weirdos” series of paper-cut art with “Cute Little Weirdos: Til Death,” dedicated to couples from horror and dark comedy movies.
The exhibit features eight pieces based on Psycho (“Boy’s Best Friend”), Pearl (“I’m Married”), Beetlejuice (“No Dust in Heaven”), Bride of Chucky (“Eat Your Heart Out”), Lisa Frankenstein (“I Have the Cure”), Little Shop of Horrors (“Kind’a Red Hot Sweets”), The Mummy (“Dream About Dead Guys”), and Nosferatu (“Love Is Inferior”).
“I had the opportunity to create a series of iconic couples whose love, while maybe a little unconventional, strange, or even deadly, was nevertheless cute,” said Edgar. “These will be one of a kind original pieces that were truly a labor of love.”
