Lightning’s Nick Paul exits game vs. Senators with injury

The Tampa Bay Lightning have lost an important depth forward.

Nick Paul exited Tuesday night’s game against the Ottawa Senators with an injury, the Lightning announced after the first period.

The former Senator appeared to be hurt midway through the first on a hit from Ridley Greig.

Paul, 29, has 14 goals and 14 assists in 45 games this season.

The Lightning acquired Paul in a trade with the Senators in March 2022. The native of Mississauga, Ont. signed a seven-year, $22.05-million extension with the Lightning that summer, after helping Tampa advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
