LOEWE Reimagines its Signature Sneaker With the Ballet Runner 2.0

In 2019 LOEWE creative director Jonathan Anderson introduced the original Ballet Runner, an early adopter of the retro running sneaker trend that's taken on the footwear category. Now, the Spanish fashion label reintroduces the silhouette with enhanced details and a variety of new colors with the Ballet Runner 2.0.A new shape gives the model added weight with new overlays, embellishments, and an upgraded sole. Offered in a total of 7 colorways, the new model is made in nylon and calfskin variants, each boasting an asymmetrical toebox, a sock-like internal structure, and a textured rubber outsole that peeks out of the toecap.Like before, Loewe's oversized cursive L monogram adds the main adornment to the lateral panel, while the brand's square-shaped emblem appears embossed into the tongue tab. In addition to the usual brand callouts, a new injected rubber Loewe logo protrudes from the heel tab.The nylon variants come in a duo of classic black-and-white colors, as well as two technicolor versions, one of which is reminiscent of Nike's famous Forrest Gump Cortez colorways. The calfskin leather variants, made in White, Black and Cinnamon, are characterized by a largely monochromatic palette, providing an elegant and pared-back alternative.See LOEWE's official campaign imagery in the gallery above.
