Kyle Anderson, we hardly knew ye.

In the frenzy of reporting after NBA fans learned Jimmy Butler was traded to Golden State, one of the news bits that came out from multiple reporters was that Warriors forward Kyle Anderson reportedly was on his way to the Toronto Raptors as part of the multi-team trade.

It turns out that part of the complicated transaction never got over the finish line.

Sportsnet’s Michael Grange was first to report Anderson would not be coming to Toronto.

ESPN’s Shams Charania then reported that the Anderson part of the deal fell through.

Anderson, 31, is averaging 5.3 points for the Warriors this season. He was acquired by the Warriors last summer in a six-team trade.

Previously, Anderson played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs.
