'Bloodborne'

Bloodborne fans are convinced news about the long-awaited remake of the iconic horror game is coming.

The original Bloodborne was released in 2015 and took influence from the works of fantasy horror authors Bram Stoker and H. P. Lovecraft. The game went on to sell over 7million copies and is still considered one of the greatest video games ever made. Despite this, no sequel to Bloodborne was ever made.

However earlier this year, Sony appeared to tease a possible revival. During a celebratory, 30th anniversary tribute video, footage of Bloodborne was used alongside the phrase “it’s about persistence”.

Now two fan-made Bloodborne projects have been shut down due to copyright claims. Three years ago artist Lilith Walther released Bloodborne PSX, which remade the original PlayStation 4 game in the style of the PlayStation 1.

Last night though, they took to Twitter to announce that Sony had filed a copyright claim on a recent Bloodborne PSX video. “It’s now known that the issue was not on the video itself, but the download link in the description. As such, the download link for Bloodborne PSX is now removed,” they added. “I am going to comply with this and not make the fan game available to download in the future.”
