Rilo Kiley are gearing up to reunite for their first tour in 17 years this spring, but first, band members Jenny Lewis and Pierre de Reeder did a surprise reunion at the G*VE A F*CK LA wildfire relief benefit show last night (2/5). They performed “Let Me Back In,” the ode to Los Angeles that was written and recorded during the sessions for 2007’s Under the Blacklight but not released until appearing on 2013’s Rkives compilation, and making the performance even more of a surprise, Paramore’s Hayley Williams and MUNA’s Katie Gavin joined them too. Hayley did harmony vocals, and Katie played violin and sang the second verse. Needless to say, it was an awesome moment, and you can watch video of it below.

Hayley also played her own set, with Failure’s Ken Andrews on guitar, and they did Failure’s “Daylight” (a different Failure song than the one Paramore covered on their 2006 EP The Summer Tic), as well as a cover of Björk’s “All Is Full of Love.” Watch videos of those performances below too.

G*VE A F*CK LA took place at Hollywood Palladium and streamed live on Veeps, with all proceeds going to Altadena Girls, Friends in Deed, One Voice, and Pasadena Humane Society. Other performers included St. Vincent, Lucy Dacus, Kevin Morby & Waxahatchee, Perfume Genius, Juliette Lewis, Phantom Planet, and more. The night ended with everyone on stage together for Phantom Planet’s “California.”
