‘Whalefall’ Author Daniel Kraus to Publish Supernatural Novel ‘Angel Down’ in July

New York Times bestselling author Daniel Kraus (Whalefall) will publish Angel Down on July 29.

The 304-page supernatural thriller will be available in hardcover, e-book, and audio book via Simon & Schuster imprint Atria Books.

The novel follows five World War I soldiers as they stumble upon a fallen angel that could hold the key to ending the war.

Kraus’ Whalefall topped Bloody Disgusting’s Best Horror Books of 2023. A film adaptation is in the works with Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You) set to direct.

Kraus is also known for collaborating with Guillermo del Toro on The Shape of Water and Trollhunters and for completing George A. Romero‘s unfinished novels, The Living Dead and Pay the Piper.
