WM Phoenix Open 2025 LIVE: Tee times, leaderboard, prize money and how to follow as Scheffler headlines rowdy event

Scottie Scheffler will be looking to win the WM Phoenix Open for a third time this weekend as he headlines the field at TPC Scottsdale. World No1 Scheffler claimed his first PGA Tour win at this popular – and notoriously raucous – tournament in 2022 before winning it again the following year. Masters champion Scheffler will be eyeing glory in the desertGetty Last year’s Phoenix Open – which was won by Canada’s Nick Taylor – was marred by fan trouble, fighting and alcohol issues. The PGA Tour have worked hard to try and control any unruly behaviour this time around, making repeated calls for more respect and a greater focus on charity and environmental causes rather than a party atmosphere. TPC Scottsdale does still boast the ‘loudest hole in golf’ – the par 3 stadium-style 16th which has a capacity of 20,000 people. The WM Phoenix Open was a ‘Signature Event’ when Scheffler won in 2023 but that has since been downgraded. But nine of the world’s top 20 players are in the field for this week’s event. Scheffler’s attempt at clinching a three-peat at the Phoenix Open fell just short last year. Following his back-to-backs wins, the reigning Masters champion had to settle for T3 in Arizona last February, ending three shots behind champion Taylor. He said at the time: “I’m a bit frustrated. I didn’t really finish the way I wanted to, but I gave myself a good chance this week. “Played a lot of solid golf, did a lot of good things. “Obviously, I’m a little bit frustrated I think with how I finished, but outside of that I gave myself a good chance, just wasn’t able to close.” That ‘solid golf’ did, of course, prove to be a springboard for Scheffler to complete a stunning season. He won seven top-class events including his second major title as well as The Players Championship and the Fedex Cup. Scheffler’s 2025 season has been delayed due to surgery following a freak cooking accident on Christmas Day. He returned to action last weekend by claiming an admirable T9 in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and now he’ll be looking for victory again in Phoenix.
