Eny Lee Parker x cc-tapis, Flos & Unno Gallery Decorate Modernist Mexico City Landmark
Famous as the first house built in the upscale architectural neighborhood of Jardines del Pedregal de San Angel, Casa-Estudio Max Cetto (1948) is the venue for Studio 48's group exhibition during 2025 Mexico Art Week. Uniting a global group of designers and brands under one roof, rug brand cc-tapis presents a new collection with designer Eny Lee Parker and its previous Raag collection with Doshi Levien alongside archival lighting from the Flos archives and collectible furnishings curated by Unno Gallery.Original tiled flooring and walls clad in volcanic rocks and textured plaster are the backdrop for the showcase, which incorporates contemporary works with wooden built-ins from the home's architect Max Cetto. Unno Gallery's selection of pieces from Caterina Moretti, Ōmbia Studio, Andrea Vargas Dieppa, Cesar Nuñez and Habitacion116 are joined by Flos's sleek lighting designs in filling the space with unique collectible pieces.On the floor and hung about the surrounding gardens, Eny Lee Parker and cc-tapis have translated her hand-built clay forms into Himalayan wool rugs. She further explained that "each rug reflects the transformative nature of clay—its malleability, texture, and the connection to human touch.” Elsewhere, the 2024 cc-tapis's Raag collection by Doshi Levien draws inspiration from Indian craftsmanship and culture.
