A newly released promo teases Matt Cauthon in The Wheel of Time Season 3. The promo, narrated by Matt actor Donal Finn teases a more confident character in Season 3. It seems like Matt, fill be a bit more full of himself after blowing the Horn of Valere. Check it out.

Nice jacket, could do with some lace mind, not too much, I mean Matt’s no bloody noble. So, how to frame this without spoilers?
Let’s just say that it was around this point in the book series where Matt suddenly becomes ‘most fans’ favourite character. However, there are still some events that haven’t fully happened for Matt like the books yet. Though, some of those may occur in Season 3. Okay some of them will, we know. Yet, I’m not sure about all of them.

If we have some luck, Matt could and should grow into the Han Solo of The Wheel of Time series. That’s a crude analogy, but we’re talking loveable rogue with a good heart, so it’s reasonably near the mark. I hope that’s been the plan for this season with Matt. One hopes that’s why they think a Matt tease is a good idea to hype S3. Yet, for me, there is still those missing details that with any luck will happen in S3.
There was some debate amongst fans as to why it seems Matt is flaunting the Horn about at this point? However, I’m waiting to see the show for myself. It’s possible this is in Tar Valon, and the Horn will remain there as it does in the books when Matt leaves.
One fan debate amongst Wheel of Time fans is the exact nature of how Matt get’s some of his unique abilities in the series. I guess we are wondering if the show will cement one of several options as the key moment in this version. The books leave several possibilities open with no definitive answer. However, no more details as that would be spoilers.
The Wheel of Time Season 3 premieres with the first three episodes this March 13 on Amazon Prime.
