Blue Beetle
“Cobra Kai” star Xolo Maridueña says the proposed “Blue Beetle” animated series is aiming to release in 2026 with production trying to get underway this year. He tells The Direct: “I’m ready to come back. We’re hitting hard this animated project, hoping to get this settled out this year to show everyone next year.”
Hurry Up Tomorrow
The first photos are out for “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” a new feature film based on The Weeknd’s sixth studio album of the same name which hit cinemas May 16th. The photos come ahead of a trailer arriving tomorrow.
Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan co-star with the singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, in this psychological thriller which has been directed and co-written by Trey Edwards Shults (“Krisha,” “It Comes at Night”).
The Weeknd and Reza Fahim also co-wrote the feature which reported deals with an artist on the verge of a mental breakdown. He meets a woman and the pair go on an odyssey together.

Captain America: Brave New World
Marvel Studios has released a first official clip from “Captain America: Brave New World” which sees Harrison Ford’s President Ross and Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson talking about resurrecting the Avengers. Check that out below along with a new TV spot.
Ford also spoke with Jake’s Takes today and was asked to weigh in on the Red Hulk vs. Green Hulk debate. He dryly responds: “It falls into the ‘Who shot first?’ category. So the answer is Greedo.”
