‘The Whisper Man’ – Robert De Niro Starring in Thriller from ‘Rule of Jenny Pen’ Director

While we wait for his horror movie The Rule of Jenny Pen next month, director James Ashcroft will next be directing Robert De Niro in The Whisper Man, Deadline reports.

Described as a crime thriller, Netflix’s The Whisper Man will adapt the same-titled novel from author Alex North, which was originally published by Celadon Books back in 2019.

“The Whisper Man revolves around a widow crime writer who, after his 8-year-old son is abducted, looks to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help.”

From there, he discovers his son’s disappearance is connected with “the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer.” That killer is known by the moniker, The Whisper Man.

Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer wrote the feature film adaptation.

Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are producing for AGBO.
