Can I run PEX through these ceiling joists?
I am a first time homebuyer and was just informed by the inspector that the slab foundation house still has Polybutylene pipes w/ copper fittings that run through the slab. I was hoping to be able to replumb the house with PEX through the attic but I wasn't sure if I would be able to run it through the joist or if I needde to lay it on top. I know you shouldn't drill through trusses but I am still unsure from the layout of the attic.
