Today, that's the Tomodachi Life community, who are celebrating all over social media in the wake of the announcement of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream today at the Nintendo Direct.
Seriously, I don't think I've seen gamers this happy in a long time. One segment of the community is especially excited by what they see as a tease of a long-awaited feature in Tomodachi Life: same-sex relationships. Way, way back in 2014, Nintendo issued a formal apology to fans of the game for not including same-sex relationships, saying that it was "not possible" to change the game's design so drastically after launch by implementing them in a patch. However, Nintendo also said, "We pledge that if we create a next installment in the Tomodachi series, we will strive to design a game-play experience from the ground up that is more inclusive, and better represents all players.”
At the end of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream's trailer today, there was a brief encounter between two women that some fans are interpreting as a tease that Nintendo is about to fulfill its promise to fans.
