Help me take this house out of 1987

Buying this house and it's all original from 1987. I have trouble envisioning things and need some help with some DIY (or paying a contractor/electrician) projects to bring this house out of the 80s. Getting rid of the wood paneling and carpet seems obvious. I kind of love the kitchen floor and "back room" floor although its probably laminate. Seems to be real brick flooring in dining room area so I'll probably leave that. Also help me think of what to do with the back room, its got gorgeous picture windows to a mountain so I thought of making that the primary living room, but idk what to do with the actual living room?
