How to improve dividing wall integrity?
Building a new fence here that is about 32”x50”. Our house has a dividing wall that the gate will sit on with the hinges. There was a 1x6 on the end cap of the dividing wall. After removing it, the dividing wall wood under the 1x6 is a bit beat up from drill holes from presumably the previous owner going to town trying to put the gate hinges on this end cap. It looks like the previous gate installment took a few extra attempts to put the hinges on resulting in a lot of now existing holes. Asking for advice if there is a way to improve the integrity of the existing wood exposed here when I drill the new hinges into this wood and the 1x6 that will cover it. submitted by /u/Critical-Extreme5930 [link] [comments]
