Simone Ashley's Shuts Down the 'F1' Premiere in London With a Gold Balmain Gown
The actor, who was cut from the final version of the movie, stunned on the red carpet while wearing a peplum gown.
Simone Ashley earned a gold star for her luxurious look at the European premiere of the F1 movie in London.
Ashley's metallic and multidimensional gown by Balmain stayed true to the designer's bold aesthetic, with all over gold and woven paneling mimicking the look of crocodile skin. She paired the frock with gold hoop earrings, strappy sandals, and an unmissable timepiece on her left wrist.
The peplum dress is from Balmain’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and the halter neck choice was a stunning one for Ashley and a slightly new silhouette for the actor, known for her roles in Bridgerton, Sex Education, and Picture This. Weeks before, she made headlines for her Vivienne Westwood dress at Cannes, during which the actor turned heads with a strapless gown complete with a corset and sculptural skirt.
Buzz surrounding the release of F1: The Movie grew somewhat in part due to the star's involvement, but news recently broke that Ashley would no longer be in the film as her role didn't make the final cut. The many storylines of the script had to be narrowed into one cohesive piece, ending up with hers ultimately never making it. 
Many fans still look forward to seeing some of their other favorite stars, like Brad Pitt and Damon Idris, hit the big screen on June 27. Even though Ashley may not have made the final version of F1, there's no bad blood between her and the director, Joseph Kosinski.
"Simone... she's an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again," Kosinski told People. Just as she dresses, Ashley handles seemingly difficult situations with grace.
