This past weekend, Fortnite’s FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals concluded with seven trios from each of the ecosystem’s regions crowned as champions.
Each regional event saw 33 teams drop into matches for an opportunity to win a share of $2m (~£1.5m) in prize money and to book a place at the FNCS Global Championship.
With every match now finished, Esports Insider has everything there is to know about which teams secured a Victory Royale and who earned a place in Lyon, France.
The FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals followed the same format as Major 1, with trios offering a change to the duo’s format used throughout 2024. Below is a closer look at all seven regions along with the teams that achieved victory.
Europe
The European edition of the FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals was won by the team of Vayak3kk (Gentle Mates), Pixie (Team HavoK), and MariusCOW (Gentle Mates), taking home $180,000 (~£134,650) and qualification to the Global Championship. The team headed into the Grand Final as one of the favourites after scoring a top-four finish in Group 1 to qualify for the Major.
From Group 3, the Polish trio of pixx (EvosA eSport), Demus (EvosA eSport), and Darm (BIG) finished in third, taking home $81,000 (~£60,677) and cementing its place in the Global Championship. The Danish trio of Tjino, PabloWingu and Fredoxie, placed second.
After already qualifying for the Global Championship by finishing second in Major 1, P1ng (AIGHT), Wox (Team HavoK), and Malibuca (Karmine Corp) ended Major 2 in fourth, cementing the team’s position as a force to be reckoned with in Europe.
NA Central
For NA Central, Ritual (XSET), Cold (Twisted Minds), and Peterbot (Team Falcons) went one better after their second-place finish during Major 1 with a victory in Major 2.
In second place was the trio of Clix (XSET), Higgs (XSET) and Eomzo (Elite Esports), while Reet (Swamp Gaming), Cooper (Dignitas) and Curly (Witness The Journey) placed third.
XSET continues to field some of the strongest Fortnite players in the region, with three of the six players in the top two teams representing the organisation.
Major 1 winners Ajers, Acorn (Dignitas), and Pollo (Gentle Mates) ended Major 2 in fifth place, taking home $28,050 (~£20,995) after already securing qualification for the Global Finals.
NA West
On the west coast of North America, Ark (Future Talent), Sxhool (Cynapse Esports), and Salko (Future Talent) walked away with a sole spot at the Global Championship and $45,000 (~£33,673).
The Major 1 winners of Bacca (Chronic), Parz, and PXMP (Future Talent) continued their impressive run of form, taking the runner-up spot.
Brazil
Brazilian Fortnite continues to grow at an impressive rate, with new names moving to the forefront of the FNCS. The team of Stryker, Tisco, and Cadu representing Gremio Esports won $45,000 in addition with a chance to represent the region at the Global Championship.
Notably, Major 1 winners Fazer (ShindeN), Phzin (W7M Esports), and K1ng finished just outside of the podium places in fifth.
Asia
The lack of repeat winners in FNCS Major 2 continued with the Asian competition. The trio of Raito (EDGE), Razl (LYNX e-sports), and Kimkana won the majority of the prize money and the Major’s only qualification spot.
Rise (Riddle), yuma (ZETA DIVISION) and Koyota (ZETA DIVISION) carried on the momentum from their Major 1 win with a fifth-place finish
Middle East
As esports continues to grow within the Middle East, 31 teams competed in the Major 2 Grand Finals. The Middle East is one of two regions to feature back-to-back winners.
5aald (Glory Esports), FKS (Al Ula) and Hero (Al Ula) remain the strongest trio in the region after securing another Major victory. Having already qualified, runners-up Snowy (Evils Esports), saad (Titans Esports), and Rew (Red Line) earned a place at the Global Championship.
Oceania
The remaining $90,000 (~£67,344) for Oceania saw the trio of Danath (Frantik Esports), Mace (Armour Esports), and Skits (Team Vanish) take their second Major win of 2025.
As a result, the team of Resignz (Team Vanish), alex (PWR), and Anon (Frantik Esports) qualified for the Global Championship in second place.
What’s next for Fortnite esports?
With two Majors now complete, attention turns to Major 3, which kicks off with play-in matches starting on July 16th, 2025.
Play-ins determine the teams that qualify for the group stage, running from July 20th to 27th.
The FNCS Major 3 Finals take place on August 2nd and 3rd and is the final event before the Global Championship in September.
