Best method to affix a trim “plank” to a plastic door?

Hi everyone, My door was just replaced and I need to reinstall the blinds that go over the “window”. With the old door I kind of just screwed into the metal but this one is plastic (and new) so I’d like to avoid that. I have a 0.5 inch thick piece of trim that I attached the blind brackets to, so if I just use shorter screws I won’t need to screw into the door. My question is, what would I use to do that? The blinds have tension (they are top down bottom up) so they’d need to be firmly attached. I don’t foresee them ever needing to be removed really. Any thoughts? submitted by /u/leakmydata [link] [comments]
