Can you mix different brands and sheens of spray paint for the bottom layers of a furniture project?

I'm really trying not to be wasteful (I've spent way to much money on wasted items for projects recently), so my goal is to use as much of what I haveI have an creamy white color that I've been using for a bunch of projects. I have about a can and a half, which is enough for one layer on the project I want to work on. It's a piece of furniture that gets a lot of wear, so I want a decent amount of layers. I do, however, have a bunch of leftover cans that are also different shades of white, but are different brands and different sheens. Because I like the creamy color I've been using, I don't see myself using the other colors again, at least not in a large scale. I have enough cans of these "unwanted' white colors that I could do two layers and then a third in the color I want. Is this going to work? I really don't want to have to redo this project for a third time. submitted by /u/ResidentAlienator [link] [comments]
