The 2025 edition of the Clash of Clans World Championship will take place as part of DreamHack Atlanta.

The season-ending event for the mobile strategy title will take place from October 31st to November 2nd, 2025.

Hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center, the Clash of Clans World Championship is the first esports title to be confirmed for the gaming and esports festival operated by ESL FACEIT Group.

The event will see eight teams compete for a share of its $700,000 (~£518,123) prize pool. The teams will be determined through open and monthly qualifiers as well as regional finals.

Teams that qualify for the event will compete in a double-elimination bracket to determine the eventual winner. At the time of writing, Argentinian teams DIZI and Dizi eSports have already secured a place at the tournament.

Six more teams will earn a place through monthly qualifiers, a last-chance qualifier, and the in-game leaderboards.

Through the monthly finals, teams can earn a Golden Ticket, guaranteeing a place at the World Championship. Each month, eight teams compete in a double-elimination bracket to earn prize money and a place at the biggest Clash of Clans tournament of the year.

Notably, the 2025 edition of the World Championship has seen a reduction in the amount of prize money on offer. Last year’s event saw teams competing for $1m (~£739,757), marking a 30% reduction.

Is Clash of Clans Esports Growing?

Since the title’s launch in 2012, the Clash of Clans esports scene has struggled to reach the heights of other esports ecosystems. This is despite significant investment and support from developer and publisher Supercell.

The most-watched event remains the 2020 World Championship, which recorded peak viewing figures of 80,783 according to esports data platform Esports Charts. For the 2025 season, the warmup event, along with the monthly qualifiers, has recorded stable viewership ranging between 20,000 and 35,000 peak viewers.
