Finding structure for porch swing in old porch ceiling
Trying to see if I can hang a porch swing here. 1919 home, previous owner covered this wood porch ceiling with vinyl. I’ve pulled a section off and am having no luck finding joists with a stud finder or with looking for nails/tapping. I’ve drilled a bunch of tiny test holes, also no luck. I pulled some of the cladding off the front overhang to see what the structure looks like, not much help. Any tips?
