First project as a 17 year old, Refinishing a dresser for my girlfriend
I watched videos on refinishing furniture and want to receive clarification from everyone. I have no painting expierence so please don’t judge my ignorance. This dresser is painted black and saw through videos most people use paint stripper and then sand it down with 120 or 180 sandpaper. Next they prime sand paint sand and paint again.(after removing the hardware first) My questions are 1. Do i use paint stripper 2. What is the best sandpaper to use.( Also tips on using a sander it’s a big dresser and will have to use one 3. It’s a wood dresser, and i know i have to use specific paint for wood, not wall paint. 4.Other Materials i need, aside from tack cloth, sandpaper primer and paint. 5.
