Framing along basement walls
I’m planning to start my basement remodel soon. I’m looking at the framing around the basement exterior wall. Do you think it’s a problem to put the studs all the way up to the wall considering I have this French drain here? My only concern is securing the base plate to the foundation, the screw won’t be very centered. I suppose I could frame a few inches off the wall, but would rather have the extra space.
