Help determining if it would be ok to attach plywood or paneling to inside of studs in 8 small storage areas between dormers. It would cover the Insulation between the studs.

The house we recently purchased has eight smaller-sized storage areas on each side of the dormer. Since we don’t have many storage areas, we want to maximize them, but we also want to minimize the amount of insulation dust that falls on everything. Additionally, we’ve been experiencing a significant wasp infestation in the house, and I’m certain they have nests in the area above the front porch. There’s a vent that runs the entire length of the underside of the front porch. Some of the storage areas have a small, open area that connects to the area above the porch. This allows wasps to enter and also allows the insulation to blow down and open the doors to the storage areas when the wind is strong. These storage areas do not connect to the attic if that matters. I understand that insulation and venting can be more complex than simply put insulation, cover it up. I wanted to ensure that I wouldn’t be causing any moisture or other problems by attaching some sort of paneling to the inside of the studs. We do have a whole-home humidifier integrated into our HVAC system. submitted by /u/jradke54 [link] [comments]
