Help with window caulking/drywall repair

Hi! I just bought this house and decided to caulk the windows. Well, while trying to remove the old caulk my putty knife poked through the drywall in this bottom right corner. I chipped away at the drywall in that corner to make sure there wasn't any type of moisture intrusion. The drywall wasn't wet but also chipped away pretty easy. I have kept the blinds closed since I bought the place a few months ago and it has been pretty cold so I am wondering if condensation caused some surface moisture. I added some caulk before using Drydex to fill in the spots I chipped out. For some reason, I can't get the Drydex to cure in this little section in the bottom corner, and I think it's too deep to fill with caulk. It"s about 1" long, .5" wide, .5" deep. Could it just be struggling to dry because it's so cold outside and close to the cold window frame? Do i just need to let it sit longer? I gave it about 8 hours and it barely set. TIA! submitted by /u/wonder-egg [link] [comments]
