I built a rail for my monitors, but there is a problem...

So, as the title says, I recently installed a rail in my desk that allows me to move my monitors around. I used a router to make a hole big enough for the rail to fit into. I then glued and screwed it in place. Iside the rail is a T-nut with a M10 screw on top (4cm long). This screw holds the monitor stand. However, there is one problem that i had not thought of before. Obviously three monitors add some weight and therefore the entire stand is tilted.. This makes it difficult to move the monitors as they get stuck in the rail. The rod from the monitor stand is hollow and the thread inside is very short. I just ordered another rod that is not hollow. But it weighs almost 3 Kilogramms. Do you have any suggestions on how i can stabilise the whole thing? I thought about adding two more rods and another screw in the rail, to form a sort of triangle, but I dont have the know how to do that. If you have any other advice i would love to hear it. This is my first DIY project so my experience and skills are limited. Thanks! https://preview.redd.it/0l9keq631wme1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0176e595dfb5508ae4e4211ad64e76c7f8e34c9d https://preview.redd.it/zt8egm631wme1.jpg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ee63ee8d7378449a103959cd8b398d58941afd7 submitted by /u/Altruistic-Elk4608 [link] [comments]
