Is this wood rot?
I'm currently scraping of old paint from wooden window frames to put on a fresh paint job. But I'm a bit worried about some parts, like this one. Is this wood rot? It's not soft but kind of flaky, it's slightly darker in colour, and there are some gaps in the wood. I'm not sure how to proceed.
