Keshi's 'Requiem' Explores His Artistic Evolution
Requiem marks a profound new chapter for Casey Luong, better known as Keshi. After the worldwide success of his 2022 debut album Gabriel, the artist opted to deliver a more introspective and experimental journey, delving into the nuances of vocal tones, lyricism and the raw artistry of performance.In a recent conversation with HBX as part of his merch launch, Keshi shared that he's adopting a new mindset towards his craft. "I'm starting to treat my body as a medium to create art, and seeing it that way, I think, is a lot healthier," he explained. This new approach allows the art to sometimes precede his own evolving tastes, acknowledging that appreciation for a creation might come with time. For him, Requiem is more than just an emotional reflection — it's a documentary of his creative evolution.To commemorate his success, Keshi is throwing it back with a vinyl release of his debut EP THE REAPER.
