Best Blackout Fabric??
So aside from helping my AC the most i can this summer, i'd love to invest in some solar blackout fabric to hang on the interior of the windows to help my cool air stay in and hot hair stay out. It doesn't HAVE to completely blackout the light, but I'd love it to block out all the heat!. In addition to that, I just bought a 80% UV mesh shade to tack on the exterior of my west facing windows. Does anyone have any input on what would he the best plan of attack/method to keep the sun out and cool air retain? Wife is suggesting aluminum foil wrapped cardboard in the windows after noon or so. It's an older 1940s building, with crap insulation and the 2nd story is unbearably hot! submitted by /u/Jeeper357 [link] [comments]
