Louis Vuitton Reveals Makeup Brand, Coming This Fall

Louis Vuitton is launching makeup. The French luxury company revealed Wednesday morning that it's entering the next chapter of its beauty journey with La Beauté Louis Vuitton.

The new line will feature an assortment of color cosmetics including a reported 55 lipsticks, eight eyeshadow palettes, and ten lip balms, with more products set to come down the pipeline. These 73 debut products are set to launch fall 2025, with no specific date yet revealed by Louis Vuitton. Prices have yet to be unveiled as well.

Makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath will serve at the makeup line's creative director. McGrath, who launched her own beauty line in 2015, is behind some of the best runway beauty looks of all time. Her duties at La Beauté Louis Vuitton will include creating beauty looks for its fashion shows, steering product development, and more.

"Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftmanship, creativity and innovation," McGrath said in a press release. "The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty."

For Louis Vuitton, this beauty launch also marks a full circle moment. It has been crafting perfumes for nearly a hundred years—and these are a mainstay of its current offeringsbut it also had its hands in the world of cosmetics in the 1920s, when it sold powder compacts and brushes, for example.

“La Beauté Louis Vuitton is a natural business evolution, driven by our meticulous attention to quality, formula and innovation. Through this new universe, we have the opportunity to further accompany clients in their everyday lives with purpose and pleasure, while continuing to celebrate our creativity and heritage," Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, said in a press release.

Perhaps there'll be another glimpse of Louis Vuitton makeup and McGrath's direction at the runway show on March 10 during Paris Fashion Week.
