Marvel Rivals’ new Pick-Up Bundle seems too good to be true, but it’s just a genuinely good bargain
The latest store bundle in Marvel Rivals is not only the best bargain in the game, it's one of the best I've seen in quite some time for those who enjoy in-game cosmetics. For the uninitiated, the Pick-Up Bundle includes several items for an impossibly low cost, with very minimal catch to it. For just $3, it includes access to four cosmetic items along with Chrono Tokens to be spent in the battle pass or exchanged for the Units currency. Screenshot by Dot Esports Purchasing the bundle gives instant access to the ridiculous Hyper Orange costume for Venom, turning the massive symbiote tank into a creamsicle reminiscent of a palette swap from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but it's hardly the highlight of the buy. Along with 240 Chrono Tokens (a forgettable throw-in for most players), you also receive a creamsicle Venom-themed spray and nameplate to go with it. But the big attraction is a new currency called a Costume Coin which can be used to acquire one of several expensive skins in the store. With just some of the offerings pictured below, the Costume Coin can be exchanged for one of 24 costumes in the shop, including several MCU skins like Scarlet Witch's from Multiverse of Madness, Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and several skins from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Personally, I'm using my Costume Coin on Wolverine's skin from Deadpool and Wolverine. Even though I rarely play the tank-shredding Duelist, it's just too good of a skin to pass up, and I don't have one for him at this point so it seems like a no-brainer. But the bargain comes in with the fact that these skins are only available in other bundles in the store, clocking in at 1,600 or 1,800 Units, which is equivalent to around $16 or $18. So, for $3, you're getting one of those skins plus a bunch more, making this an easy call for many to buy. The only catch is that you can only unlock one reward a day, but all you need to do is play three matches in Quick Match, Competitive, Conquest, Doom Match, Practice vs. AI, or Clone Rumble. That's it, so why not? Screenshot by Dot Esports Hopefully this bundle does well and there are more Pick-Up Bundles added to the store over time, because I'd love to collect more of these skins at a fraction of their listed price.
