One man, shelves too heavy, need help with algorithm to put it together.

The shelf goes in the garage and it looks like this. The floor is slightly sloped! Have no idea how to cut the vertical legs beforehand. It looks like I would have to go through a number of steps of temporarily affixing stuff, then taking it apart for adjustments? E.g., use some magic (I don't have spare human to hold anything) to hold together, say, the upper shelf and a couple of legs, make sure there is no tension or sagging on the wall side, adjust for precise horizontal, then mark the vertical legs, take them down, cut them to precise length, put them back? I was thinking about brad nails for temporary holds? Or just clamps? Or sacrificial boards cut to precise heights (plus shims, lol), used like a scaffold? submitted by /u/budget-socrates [link] [comments]
