Screen door keeper... mortise or surface-mount?
I just replaced the screen and hardware on my sliding patio screen door, and am wondering how to correctly install the keeper. The original install didnt have one, even though the door had the same style of latching handle. The latch hits the door frame so it doesn't fully close. Should I make a small mortise for the keeper so the door can fully close, or should I just surface-mount the keeper and get some weather stripping for the gap? submitted by /u/seagullplayer77 [link] [comments]
