Storm Door on Pole Barn?
Does anybody have advise on this? I want to put a storm door on the shop and I went out to measure and I realized this is far from a traditional install. The door is a Plyco with the metal frame. The gap from door face to inside edge of black trim metal and well.....The door knob leaves no clearance at all let alone the 1.65-1.85" I need for a Larson full view storm door. I've installed jamb extensions on wooden door frames in the past. Thats my first instinct but this is metal? And the existing trim will look like ass if I reuse it I'm assuming as it won't be deep enough. That being said is extending the jam in this application foolish as it's going to look bad as it projects out to much from the surface of the building? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/elemental19743 [link] [comments]
