Stripping+ painting metal?

In the process of stripping + repainting some metal objects in my home and looking for advice on how to repaint. 1) the first object is a shower vent. I’m stripping it down to the cream color but don’t know what to do after. There are places where the metal has been exposed, what kind of prep work should i do to prevent rust? What kind of paint should I use for a wet environment? 2) the 2nd picture shows a doorframe where the hinge was attempted to be ripped out, but it wasn’t possible. The bare metal is exposed and rusting. I was planning on stripping the doorframe down to the cream powdery coating everywhere else and then painting regularly. 3) 3rd pic is a metal window frame with similar issues as the doorframe, but more bare metal exposed. How should I prime these objects depending on rust? What is the powdery coating under the paint? Is there a specific paint i should be using to paint over these? Any advice is appreciated. submitted by /u/NoClerk5857 [link] [comments]
