Riot Games has provided an update regarding the technical issues that have plagued VCT EMEA Stage 1, announcing that major upgrades are currently underway.
These improvements include infrastructural changes, PC upgrades and usage of new equipment.
The changes will be tested internally by Rioters on April 29th, followed by a Pro Player Playtest on April 30th. If everything goes smoothly, matches will resume later this week, with a live audience returning for the VCT EMEA Stage 1 Playoffs starting May 8th.
Here’s the detailed testing schedule provided by VCT EMEA via social media:

Alongside ticket refunds for all attendees who attended on April 25th, Riot has also announced extra compensation for fans who travelled over 200 km to watch the matches. This includes:
- A ticket to the VCT Champions Paris Grand Finals for every ticket purchased
- Two VCT EMEA tickets per person, redeemable on any future VCT EMEA match day
- A Riot Games merch voucher worth €300 (~£255)
- The limited-edition ‘Fist Bump’ Riot Gun Buddy in VALORANT
Those who were present at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin should check their emails for instructions on how to redeem these items.

“We know there’s a long way to go to rebuild the community’s trust and get the league back to a place that it needs to be. We will get there, but hold us to that,” Daniel Ringland, Head of VALORANT Esports EMEA, assured the community.
On the final day of group stage, Fnatic and Team Heretics will battle for the first seed. Meanwhile, Karmine Corp will be looking to take revenge against Team Liquid while also trying to avoid the lower bracket heading into playoffs.
