What are these cracks in garage ceiling near edge of roof?
I noticed these cracks opening up on my garage’s ceiling where (I suspect) the roof meets the edge of the ceiling. Directly above the garage is a bedroom but outside the garage is part of the roof. Attached a photo of the outside for reference. We had our roof lifted and relayed in 2016 (new tar paper, replaced broken tiles). I asked the roofer to come back and take a look and he said there’s no evidence of a leak. Thinks it’s largely the house settling due to earthquakes and whatnot. Any ideas?
